Heard a lot about this place. Had been there once and found it great. So this time I decided to take my wife along. We ordered Grilled Fish, Chicken Steak and Fish Curry. The fish was fresh. For a typical Indian palate, the dish was bland but very continental in taste. Even then I wouldnt rave about it.The steak was ok. The chicken was more skin and fat than flesh and the steak sauce left a lot to be desired. But the biggest disappointment was the fish curry.
Boiled fish in tomate paste would have been a better description. I was really looking forward to eating a south indian style fish curry and there was nothing south indian about it. Dessert was caramel custard. Again below par but not bad. All in all, a very disappointing experience. I now wonder what the hoopla was all about.
For this food, the price seems high when I know I can get better for cheaper. The portions are quite small. You can eat a chicken steak and still have room for more. I am not sure if this place has degraded over the years but I would not recommend this to anyone seeing a good dinner.
