Worst Customer Service

I am having Kotak Life Policy.. For the annual premium due in July 2013, I made double payment. The first payment was made through Citi Bank credit card on 15.7.2013 and the second payment was made through Visa Bill pay attached to ICICI bank credit card on 24.7.2013. Since I have made double payment, I have requested Kotak Life to return the additional payment made.


They informed that the second payment is returned to my account. Since I did not receive the refund, they asked me the copies of the bank statements. I sent ICICI bank statement dated 16.9.2013. Some one from Kotak life telephoned me and said there is some technical problem with ICICI bank and that the excess money will be credited with in a week.


But, now I have got another statement from ICICI bank dated 16.10.2013. The money has not been credited to my account. Even after three months the excess money has not been returned to me. I asked for telephone details of senior officers, but contact center guys says they do not have. I checked up the website of Kotak life. No telephone number other than consumer care no.


It is more than three months. They are yet to return the money. Terribly irresponsible bank and they don’t have any mechanism to make complaints to senior officers other than to talk to customer care guys only who are good for nothing. Better to stay away from this bank.
