I believe by now you would have watched multiple TV-ADDS, hoardings and youtube adds for this particular new product by **Kotak Mahindra Bank**. For me personally I wanted to open one account in this just because they were offering good discount on multiple things, but it ended up not well.
For people who are migrant like me, living into metropolitan city and have their authentication document like adhar/pan card of the location where kotak bank does not provide this service please give up on trying to open this bank.
I tried opening the account, got the OTP on my phone registered the adhar number and did the ekyc for it. Post that it asked me to verify the address where i am living, I tried updating the actually address and once I clicked enter, it started showing message like technical issues.
I tried the process multiple times and every time I was trying to add the correspondence address the software ends up saying technical issue please try after some time.
So this time I kept the same address as the once which was on adhaar and post that the app kicked me out and asked me to wait till the time the service is accessible to the location where the adhaar card is from.
I called the customer care and asked to help me out with this issue, the problem was there in the app that it was not processing when i entered the address of correspondence and once i skipped that record it blocked me from creating the account.
The idea of digitial wallet and account is that you can create it from anywhere and these people don’t even know how to copy that idea from someone. This bank is complete copy of the product offered by Digibank DBS for which Sachin Tendulkar was advertising few days back.
And trust me on my wards it took just 3 minutes to open a digi saving account.
Disappointed in this product. Maybe they could have hired better coder for the app then the amount they are spending on advertisement.
