I am a doctor by profession and was promised a zero balance account in the month of Jan 2016 in the branch at Indiranagar, Bangalore. This promise was with 101 other promises as well(common tactics followed). Immediately from next month there were deduction from account for not maintaining sufficient balance. This happened for 4 months even after repeated requests and reminders with the bank branch. Following such attitude I started maintaining the balance in spit of my account being a zero balance account! I have made repeated calls to the person-incharge Mr Neelkanth, Mr Balaji(9886211095) and also met the bank branch manager Mr Sumithab Goshal(9731018055) personally. He promised things will be sorted out within 5-7 working days(Aug 2016). However, nothing has been done for 1 and half months(Sep 2016). I am still waiting for an action from them.
I personally request all not to get carried away with such promises and request you to not open an account with Kotak. Its been an ordeal and most demeaning experience with KOTAK MAHINDRA BANK!:-(
