One of the WORST experiences I have had with Kotak Mahindra Bank, Vidyaranyapura Branch. Let me put everything point wise.
1) I opted to open a current account here since they told me its a new branch with just 3-day account opening.
2) They also told me to open a SB account with current account as they have an option for zero-AQB
3) The bank guys came to my company, took all the docs and signatures and left saying both the accs would be opened within that week and I kept waiting here onward for at least one month, with no intimation about acc opening, not any status updates. Om top of this the manager who came to take my docs went un-responsive. I called the customer care and reported this issue and they said I would get a call from the branch, which never happened. I walked into the bank but hardly found anyone to help me out!
4) And one fine day I suddenly receive a mail from Kotak with my current acc statement and I realize that my Current acc is mis-spelt too! PS: I still did not receive any login creds or a debit so that I can use my current acc, and the initial deposit amt is just lying with Kotak with no access to me!
5) Finally with some struggling, I get to meet the manager of Vidyaranyapura branch who promised me that everything will be fixed in a weeks time and convinced me to continue banking, for which I agreed(trusting them one final time, which was of no use though)
6) After a weeks time I just receive cheque books for my current acc and SB acc. I guess the bank thinks I can start off with my business transactions with just the cheque book(GOD SAVE ME HERE)
7) After all this, I just walked in and submitted my closure docs and asked them to close my accs once for all.
8) points to be noted:
- The bank seems empty, yet youll have to wait for atleast one hr for every simple transaction as their servers are always hung or there is power issues or some software issue ALWAYS! This happens every time to step inside the bank.be it in the morning/afternoon/evening.
9) Finally, my account closure application is accepted and its been 15 days and I still havent got the confirmation of closure nor have I received the amt that I kept as initial deposit.
Remember, business ppl will have to spend more time in this bank . infact more than the time they put to improve their businesses! GOD SAVE BUSINESSES who opt for Kotak Mahindra Vidyaranyapura branch!
