Lousy customer service neglecting customers

I am Akash Radadiya. A guy who has a 3 year old relationship with Kotak Mahindra Bank.


My Customer ID is: 55190660


This is my complaint regarding KMB Credit Card. I have applied to receive my credit card after I lost the old one, it’s been 2+ months and I have not received the card ever since always getting lame excuses.


Now let me mention my issues.


Firstly, the card was sent to our old address and then it was sent back to Kotak as it was not delivered.(Problem 1 - No One contacted me from Delivery guy for anything. Problem 2 - No one from Kotak Mahindra Bank contacted me after it was sent back informing me about the failure of delivery.)


Only when I contacted, they informed me that the card was sent back. So Problem 3 - lousy support team!


The guy asked me for an address proof. I said, I have my address proof but not on my name as We are not a billionaire that each and every person in family owns a property. Our properties are named on my brother/father’s names. And all the bills are also sent on their names. I have my Govt. Authorised ID proofs on my name.) The support team was so lousy that they did not care or try to understand the issue. I repeatedly informed them that I do not have an address proof on my name. I have it on my family’s name which should not be an issue. Ultimately, I decided that I would like to discontinue KMB Credit Card services. However they acted on it. I got some update in 24 hours that someone will manually verify my address and then dispatch my card.


After few days, an official came to our office and I verified all details. And after that, I did not receive any update from Kotak Mahindra bank so one again, I decided to contact them once again. Remember, each and every time, only I had to contact. In between, some support guy contacted me via call after my tweet. But unfortunately I could not pick up the call due to being busy with something else. And guess what, they did not bother to try another call. I mean, if they had to sell something, they would spam customer’s calls/sms/whatsapp/emails(Even other folder of inbox) but when it comes to support, they don’t give a damn!


Finally a few days ago, someone contacted me and told me that they are not dispatching my credit card because my payment is due. Some 3-4k INR and because of that they have held the card. WTF? I mean, you guys HAVE delayed my card and I have to receive 2 refunds on the card from other vendors and you are just screwing things up with a customer. You are not letting him do anything and now you wanted to hold a credit card because you did not come up with any other excuse. I have heard multiple excuses from them throughout. And guess what, I was relying on this card for my diwali shopping. I had to take someone else’s help eventhough I owned a credit card which has affected my festival celebration. I had to avoid a few purchases.


Not only this, they also affected my travel. They blocked my card twice while I was travelling 3 months ago. Guess what I was travelling by myself. Thank god that I had cash with me once and I had made good friends with some other people else I would have been barbecued in the heat of noon.


Finally when I told the officer on call that I do not want my credit card, she instantly agreed which proves that they wanted to get rid off me as I had been constantly posting against them on twitter. You thought, If you could get rid off me, you won’t have any bad reviews?


I do not want to go ahead in this case if provided with a proper resolution else I have no option but to spread the hashtag #FokatKotak to spread awareness about such issues. And believe me, I have spread word about good support of Kotak bank in the past as well.
