Kotak executives giving wrong information

I received my first credit card from Kotak yesterday. When I say my first credit card, I meant the first credit card from Kotak. I possess cards of Premium banks as well. It was news for me that Kotak is into credit cards only when the executive who introduced herself as she was calling from Kotak to sell credit cards.


Well what here I want to let others know is, in fact all banks give out marketing to franchisees and people from franchisees call you pausing employees of these so called banks. They send their executives to collect documents once give them consent and God knows thru who all your valuable documents go past. Well that being the story, most of these calling in executives are either undertrained or have less information and once they are on live call they try to close the deal by giving all wrong information. It happened with Kotak executives.


I dont know from where these people get my mobile number, I never asked coz I was fed up asking this question over and again attending these surprise calls. The lady who called me to sell Kotak credit card offered camel loads of offer coming along with the card, seriously I was not excited. The only request I made to them was that my billing date MUST be in the first week of every month, which she promised can be done no issues at all. I trusted her or rather the Kotak group. When I received the card yesterday there was all kind of information except billing date.


Then I found out their call center number from the internet(this was no where printed in the dozens of books and leaflets came along with the card) and called them. The process is painstaking. You have to give them details like the time of your birth, mother’s name your hobbies your height weight....before the executive wud open his/her mouth for you could extract a simple piece of information. This is disgusting. Finally the guy who attended the call told me that the billing date can not be changed. I already have other cards which happens to be on the same date and this card has become completely useless. I have sent them an email seeking advise on how to terminate the relation with Kotak and remove all my details from their database. I dont want to use their card. I have only once concern, they are spreading wrong information to build business. They are fooling customers. That is all.
