I understand majority reviews come in as negative since people write here only when they have a bad experience. I myself wrote a review on how Citibank cheated me by offering schemes through word of mouth but slyly not mentioning anything in writing.

This precise incident with Citibank led me to believe how Kotak Bank was much better.
Even though there are charges involved with both which people would complain about, the difference with Kotak is transparency not only in writing but also in word.
I would always prefer to know about potential charges in advance when I take a credit card. In Citibanks case, the marketing agent promised many benefits which were of course not true and I only came to know when I verified with customer care and to top it they implied that I was lying!
Things were very different with Kotaks customer care, immediate resolution in benefit of the customer. I would always trust a bank who trusts its customers and Kotak Bank did just that not only in writing but also by word.
People not having a good experience should go through the terms and conditions on the website, they cover almost everything. Trust me guys, transparency is better with Kotak but please review the charges involved at the same time.
