I have a Kotak trump card which has good feature of 10% cashback in Restaurant and Movie theatre, but only for first 5 transactions and after that no reward points or cashback.
One of the worst experience with Kotak is with the transactions done at IRCTC site for railway ticket booking. If you book a ticket then they don’t charge 1.8% transaction charge. But if your ticket is waitlisted or not confirmed and cancel the ticket then they charge the transaction charge. Now the point here is that Credit + Debit = Zero then why Kotak charges transaction charges for Refund, since its not customer fault if the ticket is not confirmed. But they don’t have any justification for the same and does fraud by charging such charges from innocent customer. You keep debating but no use. You will loose the double and triple the money over phone, but no use.
Also they maintain wrong correspondence address even though you submit all address proofs. Later if you want to get it corrected they just suck blood. You need to be personally available and wait for their agent to give a verification signature. Now the issue here is that customer has submitted all address proofs and its their fault to maintain wrong address. But still they are just the blood suckers. Please beware of this bank. One side 10% cashback is attractive but other side they are looting the consumer.
