One of the top most schools in Visakhapatnam once upon a time, known for its versatility in students’ activities, Kotak Salesian School has always been a cherishing place for me. I’ve studied for 5 years right from my 6th class to 10th class. Being a pass-outof this school of 2011 batch, I had a treasury of memories here. Different houses (red, green, blue, yellow) named after freedom fighters Tilak, Gandhi, Nehru, Shastri respectively is the main source of competence inside the school. there used to be a constructive competition between the students. The renowned and very well experienced teachers who taught us were well qualified but left the school one by one due to their personal aspects which is the main reason for its downfall compared to other schools. But its able administration, recruiting good faculty and uncompromising attitude of the management in students’ all round development is what it makes the school to join and stdy. The streams ICSE and AP State Board are followed from 8th standard and usually its based on the students choice to pursue while till 7th grade ICSE stream is mandatory for all the students. The schoolis kown for sports like Basketball, Volleyball and Throw ball. When i was a player of the school basketball team in 2010, our school secured second place in District Inter School Basketball Tournament. Various annual events like Sports Day, Annual Day, MSFS Sports Meet bring out the cultural aspect from students which is celebrated with great endeavor and head held high. Several alumni of this school are in many corners of the world, and visit the campus often which shows the gratitude and humbleness in their behavioral roots that they acquired from here, which is a fact to be proud of.
