Today, (Monday, December 15, 2008) the whole day Kotak securities home page was down without prior notice. Just imagine the state of investors! The company, never care or bothered to inform its customers, regarding the exact time the problem might be rectified. I asked them through phone and the people simply refuse to inform the investors. Only they say some maintenance issue was there.....?
Friends, just beware of their service, as day by day it’s getting worse**. I also wonder, why they were doing such things, "when the market moves higher in a particular day". Further, today there was a creditable information by the media that the market is going to move higher.
The funnier part is that, the web page is visible and it also allows a customer to log in. But, inside it shows the record of the previous day and nothing been updated. If you place an order it just refuses to accept. The poor investors already lost several amount in share market due to various factors, and Kotak is one among them.
I don’t know about other online trading brokers but, I could only say that my trust in Kotak disappeared today.
If any body have any doubt about my complaints; please refer any of your friends who are holding a Kotak security account. Ask them whether they done any online trading today (Monday, December 15, 2008). They will give you real horror stories about Kotak’s pathetic service.
*So, better do good research and survey before you choose some good online broker.

Friends,
The issue, which I had pointed out in my review was immediately attended by Kotak and I am extremely happy about it. (Please go through the Kotaks response). Further, I must also point out that, non of the other online broking houses, respond immediately to complaints, such as Kotak. I appreciate their efforts and I had given full ratings for that.
I also thank this Mouthshut team for bringing Kotak and its clients closer to each other to solve their
issues. Now, I trust Kotak.
