A few weeks back I logged on to Kotak securities .com and applied for an account through their online form .I entered my Name, Mobile No, E mail and city and clicked get started . A message appeared - Thank you for registering with us .We will get back to you shortly .
Nothing happened! No body contacted me .So I called up 3030 5757 the next day and a smooth female voice assured me that someone would get in touch with me in 24 hours .No body bothered to call me!Then I used the customer support chat and wow!IT WORKED!
I was promptly attended upon by an operator.I typed my request and I was assured that someone would get in touch with me in 24 hours!(That was world class service - I mean the chat thing)No one has so far bothered to call me up so far .
Then I tried to find the telephone number of their Kochi office and by clicking on- Visit our branch-clicked on Equity Trading and portfolio management services -and in the column-please select a city for branch details -It kept on asking me for - please select a Trading options!
The bloody thing did not work!So I simply gave up!And far no body has called me But I have a very thick skin and I have applied again today .With this review for the world to read I hope someone will call me . Maybe Kotak’s hands are full with more customers than they can handle and maybe they are unable to handle new ones even at a time when investors are running away from the market now and trade volumes are very low .
I think it is easier to get a certificate from the Panchayat or Village office than trying to open an account with Kothak securities! And if this is the sort of service I am going to get while trying to be a customer then what will be my fate when I invest my hard earned money?
But as I have told you I am willing to give it a TRY as I have a very thick skin . Thanks for the patient reading .Hope Uday Kothak reads this review and gets an idea of what his well paid employees are doing to enhance business in his enterprise . He is a man I respect a lot(most other Indians may agree with me) for having created on of the BEST online Trading services in India .
