Kovalam is a beach in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Few kilometres from the main city, Kovalam is a beautiful beach that attracts hundreds of visitors daily. I visited the place 4years back, on 31st of December. As it was a speacial day, crowd was obvious.
Before going to the place I heard a lot of praise about the beauty and the beach. But on discovering the place, I felt the praise was somewhat ovwrrated! The beach was not much clean, and the food available in the resturants was not up to the mark. It is undoubtedly beautiful, and the black sand is rare, yet I was dissapointed because I was expecting much more from the place after hearing about it from other people.
