I am using KPN travels since I was in 8th standard. Now I am 26. Over these years, I had seen KPN travels growing fast and enormously. It is the only travels sustained in market and grown when compared with other travels RPN, Rathimeena, etc. KPN keeps upgrading their buses but fails to maintain them. When Volvo became famous, KPN upgraded their routes to Volvo fast. And when Multiaxle Volvo became famous, they upgraded again. But maintenance is poor.
Some of the seats broken, newspaper holders are damaged almost in all buses. Nowadays I generally travel in afternoon time from Chennai to Trichy and back in Multiaxle Volvo. Though the departure time is ALWAYS delayed by 1 hour or so, they manage the timing by speed. Drivers casually drive the buses at 120kmph. We do not have to worry about it. Because all drivers r trained by Volvo itself for 50 days and certified. But the drivers keep the same attitude on passengers what they keep on roads. harsh and rash. Just you go ask for a blanket. He will react as if you have asked whether he is a man. And for the money, u paid, u wont be respected properly. Even u wont be treated as a human.
Now they dont have to worry about retaining the customer. Because, in emerging demand, if they lose one customer, there will be a new customer ready for them within no time. So, if our aim is only to reach our destination fast, then KPN is a good choice. If hospitality and morale is expected, sorry, KPN is a very bad decision. Nowadays I am traveling in their normal non ac buses. So I dont know how comfortable they are to travel.
Even I have faced so many bad experiences like fighting with driver for blanket, urinals, etc. But I still prefer KPN only for their Volvo comfort.
