I took a KPN bus, KA registered - number 9919 from Bangalore to Chennai on Sunday, June 13th at 10 PM . The bus lost its brakes two hour away from Bangalore. The bus driver kept on going at snails pace and stopped near Salem from 12:30 AM until 5.30 AM .One wakes up from sleep at 5.30 AM to find out that the bus is screwed up and has been standing all night like that! Driver does not inform sleeping passengers, neither the management takes responsibility. They fixed the brakes at 6:00 AM and so, I arrive in chennai, at 10:00 AM, and am taken to Koyembedu, instead of T.Nagar as promised by KPN.
They charge a premium, because of brand name and still end up giving shitty service. They have a customer care helpline - 0427 - 2222 222. One Mr. Sarathy answered the phone and says do whatever you want - pls find your own transport and go. I tried reaching his Supervisor, one Mr. Rajamani @ 9443791994. That gentlemen informed me that I am on my own and just because I booked a ticket in KPN, it does not mean that I can ask them to drop me in the promised place! wow, thats a new concept to me. I am left in a place 8 km away from the promised drop point, 4 hours, 45 mins late with a very bad customer response. I was left wondering why have a customer complaint number at all, if all you are not going to help the customers? After all, they are the fools who pay 150-200 rs extra just because they believed that KPN has a good brand value and will be safe to travel!
I decided that I will go to KPN only when my self esteem lowers to the level of a Chicken, I am a normal, office going consumer who cant do anything else! If its just one bad guy, probably I can bash him up. If the entire system and management is wrong.where do we go? We go crazy. So, the best we can do is "STAY AWAY" from KPN.
