I finally got to see Krishna Cottage First Day First Show. The over-hyped and over-publicised movie of K Kween Kekta Kapoor is finally out in the cinemas all over India.. So, here is my review on it..
~~The Starcast~~
Sohail-junglee-bhensa-Khan[honestly, I prefer Salmaan to his brothers]
Natassha-screeming-her-lungs-out
Issha-trying-to-act-Koppikar
Vrajesh-resembling-an-alien-Hirjee
Hiten-kindof-cute-Tejwani
Rati-modern-tantrik-Agnihotri
Raj-whats-that-thing-on-his-ears?-Zutshi
Moreover, the movie also includes many artists from Kektas serials. I think she includes Vrajesh Hirjee for returning the favour he did when she must have visited the karobooze galaxy..
~~Whats it about??~~
Well, this is about a bunch of college friends.. and a new girl who enters the college.. Out of the friends, Natassha and Sohail are to get engaged.. but Sohail gets kind of attracted to the new girl.. By chance, they lay their hands on the book Kahi Ankahi Baatein and khoon ka silsila shuru hota hai.. Now, incase you are wondering about the book.. (what? who?).. it is written by my favourite Raj Zutshi.. and the book contains nine and a half love stories..
Anyways, the ghost haunts them and Rati who seems to be inspired by Rekha from Bhoot tries to save these people.. And, as expected, the movie has a positive, but predictable ending..
The movie looses the grip post-interval.. But you are reminded of Bhoot, The Ring, Kuchh to hai and Jaani Dushman throughout the movie... The clipping which anyone who reads the book sees, reminds you of the movie The Ring... You must be wondering why Jaani Dushman.. It is because, the Bhoot takes up the form of human beings.. remember armaan kohli becoming atul agnihoti??
~~The Music~~
Annu Malik has done fair job, but I felt like tearing the screen when the song Bindaas came on screen.. Kekta has shown the song in her each and every serial and it looks as if Annu has tried singing for Natassha..
The other song Bepanaah pyaar hai can also be heard in any of her serials.. so no one actually needs to buy the albums.. just keep a track of all her serials.. and youll have the songs by heart..
~~Must Watch Scenes~~
--->The first five minutes of the movie when Raj baba gives the mesmerising speech.. [dont forget to have a look at his right ear]
--->Whenever Vrajesh Hirjee makes an attempt of looking scared..
--->Rati Agnihotris entry.. man.. youll be reminded of bhoot, the movie
--->When Rati Agnihotri gets possessed... and the conversation between Rati and the ghost... [Dont blame me if you laugh your lungs out.. ]
--->When Rati is thrown up the ceiling and she falls on the wood and dies.. dont forget to notice her last words... Bhagwaan, inki raksha karna...
~~Conclusion~~
Pre Interval the movie actually manages to have thrills.. and does make you wonder about what is it.. but after 45 minutes, the movie looses its grip.. It has some loose ends.. Post Interval, the whole story gets predictable.. With some efforts, the movie could have been made interesting..
