I had purchased a Krisons DVD Player from Indiatimes shopping with the warranty expiring in Nov 05. After playing a few CDs which came free with the player, the player started giving the message No Disc.
Since I had to go on leave during Sept and Oct I could not locate any service centre for the company in Delhi and I wonder how the system can be repaired. The warranty card does not give any telephone numbers or addresses to be contacted for repairs. Also due to the delay they may escape by saying that the warranty period is over now. There are many companies which sell DVD players at low prices now adays and I dont see any point in going for a non standard brand like Krisons for this product. The service set ups of large consumer durable companies is bound to be better than that of small outfits like Krisons. I wonder also what Indiatimes shopping will do to take care of consumer grievances for shopping done thorugh their website.
