The most awaited film has eventually released! Does it meet the high adrenaline expectations? Does it satiate the appetite of the cinegoer? Will it infuse life in the veins of this drought-stricken industry?The answer to all the above questions is, Yes!
Krrish is a good mix of super hero movies like Super Man , spider man with typical Bollywood masala thrown in the proceeding .Yet , it works like a magic...
But first the negative points!
To start with, the first half of the film is plain mediocre. The love story is boring till Priyanka has to leave for singapore .You genuinely feel for Hrithik ’s character at this moment .Watch the scene when tears follow from his eyes.
With Hrithik’s arrival[interval point] in Singapore, things start looking up. In fact the interval point brings the story on the right path. It is sequences in the second half that make all the difference. Sequences that stand out are:
? Hrithik and Priyanka meeting each other, for the first time, at the airport;
? Hrithik bashing up the villians, when they molest Priyanka
? The sequence when Naseer murders mask men just before the climax
? The end of the film that is expertly handled.
In a country where the concept of super hero was more or less alien, director Rakesh Roshan has tackled the theme with care by padding the narrative with loads of SFX , actions , romance and emotions .Music is another asset. The songs are well woven in the script and have been picturised beautifully.
Cinematography is eye-catching and the Singapore locales are a visual treat. Dialogues are excellent. Screenplay maintains the grip right till the end.
This is one performance fans of Hrithik will love him in. He is controlled, classy and mature, as a super hero giving Spiderman , batman a run for their money. By the way Super man returns has proved a dud in front of Krrish here in India!
Priyanka is incredibly competent in her role, although she does go overboard in the initial portions. Rekha plays the lovable grandma to the hilt. Naseer is nice. Bahadur’s comedy will appeal to the hoipolloi.
On the whole, Krrish has generated a lot of heat before its release and it lives upto the expectations.The film has already been declared biggest hit ever.
The film has broken all first week records everywhere. The first week total looks to be around 27 crore nett. It is already the fastest money spinner ever and the trade is expecting it be the biggest grosser ever as well. In Mumbai its first week billing is over 9 crore while in Delhi/UP its nearly an amazing 7 crore.
