I recently wrote a review on Phir Hera Pheri and Bollywood being poor in doing sequels but Rakesh Roshan has proved me utterly wrong by doing Krissh.
Unexpectedly for me, right from the moment I had reached the theater I did not get a moment to think anything but to get fully engrossed in the movie (although unfortunately for me I was 15 min late in entering the hall). Right from the moment go he gives a captivating plot, beautiful landscapes and scenaries, a crisp storyline and some nice performances.
I am certainly not a Hritik Roshan fan but even he has given a remarkable performance along with the rest of the star-cast.
The movie does a good plot continuing on where they left in KMG and goes on to build a storyline on the same theme, without for a moment losing out on the Jadoo and the super natural energies given to Hritik. The movie in fact moves much better and faster than KMG and is very well edited to give a Hollywood like feel to the movie. The graphics are excellent and someone has really done a good job with animation part.
Singapore looks refreshing as always and has been captured well by the camera, our good old Himalayas have been captured even better and the tricks are a treat to watch.
The songs were average and certainly could have been better.
The fights also are limited and a real good bollywoodisation of Matrix and do not look as if that was another way for the producer and the director to pent their frustration on the viewer.
The best part off course is the sci-fi approach which has been very well portrayed and RR definitely is maturing and if he goes on like this then probably one day he is going to give a tough comptetion to Steven Spielberg. The technology shown looks very realistic and has a no-nonsense approach to it.
Overall, a good movie and a must for the kids and adults both. So take extra large popcorn and coke when you go in and have fun watching till the last scene.
