KSRTC(Karnataka) volvo horrible experience

This is to bring to your notice a bad experience we had for travelling from Bangalore to Pondichery on 15th March 2008, Volvo bus at 8.30AM. This mail might be a bit long. Please read it and take actions, if you can.


Let me brief you what had happened.


We six of them had booked tickets through internet to travel to Pondichery. In the ticket, time of departure was at 9.00 AM from KBS. We were under the assumption that bus is from Majestic at 9.00 AM. We accept the fact that, that mistake was from our part. We 5 of them(excluding the person in whose name ticket was taken) were standing outside the bus. At 8.50 bus started moving and driver started shouting at us telling "you are having meeting or what?" and asked us to get inside. We got in and then we asked "bus time is at 9.00AM. why you are leaving early?" and we also showed the ticket. We told the guy is parking the bike, he will be in another 1 minute. But he didnt wait and took the bus. Then they told like all other tickets are having 8.30 and your ticket is only 9.00AM. you complaint this in office. Then arguments started and it was almost near to man handling. After all the arguments when we were about to reach diary circle they again saw the ticket and told that you are having boarding point at KBS which was diary circle and there its at 9.00. When we realised that mistake is ours, we told them sorry. But whole argument could have been avoided if they had checked ticket first.


We asked the 6th guy  to come to dairy circle. He took an auto and chased the bus. The driver had so much grudge against us that he didnt want us to travel in bus because PAN card(Proof of Identity) was with him and driver knew that we can’t travel if he is not in. On reaching diary circle driver ran out of bus went to the counter and came running in back and asked us to get out of bus in a very rude manner. Moment we got out of bus, Ramesh(6th guy) reached diary circle. We requested him to open the door, but he didnt even though he saw Ramesh.


We didnt expect such a horrifying experience from KSRTC premium service after paying this much. We had to cancel the return ticket too which was on 16th March at 8.30. We didnt get any amount also back after cancelling the ticket. From rude behaviour of driver it was very clear that he wanted to take some people on the way and make some money to his pocket.


This is long mail. But to make you aware what has happened it was required.


There are faults from our part. We are not denying that. But a better behaviour from conductor and driver could have avoided the whole problem.
