Have been a regular to Kubay’s for dinner since 2003. Though my frequency has reduced, I still like this place. Small, relatively cheap and good food.
Recently had some really bad experiences. We ordered a pomfret fry, crab sukka and a prawn curry with a platter of sannas, panpole and idiappam. The dry items were good.really good. But the disappointment was in the main course. I dont think they used fresh prawns. They were hard and rubbery. I sent back the dish. It came back re heated but the prawns remained the same. I finally sent it back for good.
The crab was awesome but this episode really spoilt the mood and I went home hungry.
The panpole was too dry and cold. Looked like it was prepared earlier in the evening.
