A fresh serial is like this is what Ekta kapoor needs.Kuch is tarah is simple and that is what is endearing.I am glad I finally came across a "k" serial which is entertaining.It is as fresh as coffee and has popcorn-cracking wittiness.Yes, the characters are a little stereotyped, but they are nicely fleshed out. Kanya is sweet, simple like every other protogonist but there are secrets about Kanya that will surprise even the most seasoned viewers. There is Ranbir Nanda, whose acting is enough to carry this serial forward. Ranbir doesn’t believe in love, he is cynical and there is Kanya.what happens between them, and crazy situations they’ll find themselves in is simply put, Kuch is tarah.
Kuch is tarah is a winner on making distinct characters-Shanta tai, Kanya’s servant, pooja, Kanya’s sis who works in a production house, Reva, Ayaan’s mom who is media-crazy, Shanaya, Ayaan’s wife who will cry at the drop of a hat.and the personalities of main leads Kanya and Ranbir.They are all original and likeable.
The costumes and make-up of characters have been done according to character personalities and the background music conveys the right effect.
Since its a "k" serial, i cannot trust the quality of later episodes which is why I docked off a star but I hope Kuch is tarah remains "issi tarah"!
