SASTE LAGTE HO.......

Rohan Sippy can pack his bag and leave bollywood forever. Leave, never to make such a movie, never to inflicit such torture on the already suffering audience of hindi cinema. It’s absolutely inexplicable why he should make such a b-grade movie with such a a-grade star cast. And that too as his debut? Guess what people, the movie Kuch Naa Kaho even doesn’t deserve to be reviewed. Kuch naa Likho please.

The star cast includes Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachhan and lot other known-unknown faces that have become unneccesary integral part of hindi movies now-a-days. So what’s Kuch Naa Kaho all about? (I wish I could reveal all the plot here itself to spare you all the bordom of watching it. But revealing would be against my own standards) KNH is about nothing. No new story, no new concept, no new daring performances, no new music and only a new director and a ’zarasa hutkay’ title.

Why did I choose to review? Because I discovered that Rohan Sippy is in fact long lost brother of Miss Ektaa Kapoor. Yeah, they were lost in some Kumbh mela only to reunite at the entertainment pedestal. Ektaa is draining people’s brain on TV and Rohan did it on the silver screen. No, no there is no saas-bahu involved here, there’s only Indian woman potrayed as fighting against the social evils that treates her in a way her step-mom would treat. So does this movie convey any social message? Heck no! But then do the serials of Ektaa convey any message for that matter?

Why did Aishwarya do this movie?: She did for only that climax scene where she could cry the hell out of herself and think that it’s one scene that would give her an best actress award. But know what? What her character does for rest of the film is utterly exasperating. How can a woman even stand, which Namrata (ash), is able to stand after consciously knowing what happened to her. Bhartiya Naari? My foot!

Why did Abhishek Bachhan do KNK?: He has got on other roles to play. Although he has given a fairly good performance, this is what one must not expect from him!

The songs are the ones that are most mistimed and so is Aishwarya’s romantic involvement with Abhi. But there are only two songs that makes you feel that KNK is meant to entertain. I felt sitting on bunch of nails throughout the movie save these two songs. Gaana-Bajaana, rona dhona, judai ka ghum, shaadi, dances n songs. There is everything in the movie, but you keep fathoming why? Social structure, male dominated society huh! Blessed are those who don’t have such a viscious social structure as ours that one can make a movie out of it.

Did director try to blend modern day thinking and good old traditions? What’s in the movie?

If you want answer to these questions, PLEASE DO NOT watch the movie.
