*Story of an ABCD & IBD*

I had a choice between watching this movie or BOOM.

I chose to watch this movie instead. Giving the Small B a chance …

And am I glad I chose this movie…

I don’t know what the audience these dayz are looking for….can’t understand why this movie flopped…poor Abby Baby …that guy just has the worst luck ever!

I mean he is handsome, nice, good actor, wonderful voice….what else do they (audience) want!!!

Anyways…enough of me feeling so sorry for Abhishek….lets talk about this movie.

~ I personally thought the movie was pretty good ~

Story of ABCD & IBD

First the movie begins with a very cool new format of titles…(i.e Bathroom products!!)

Movie begins with a very clichéd scenario. ABCD is pressured by his mom and mamaji into getting married. But ABCD keeps on saying “Marriages can’t be arranged!” … ABCD is shipped to his homeland (apna Bharat). ABCD is invited to his cousin’s marriage where he meets IBD (Indian Born Desi) – they hate each other. [Baat Meri Suniye To Zara]

IBD is assigned to find ABCD a DSB (Desi Sharmili Biwi).

He meets many eligible bachelorettes. [Tumhei Aaj Mainei Jo Dekha]. Eventually, he falls in love with IBD. [Achchi Lagti Ho]. ABCD is head over heels for her…but it can’t be that easy…cause IBD has a child. ABCD tries to be a father figure to the child [ABBG]. But IBD has some issues and doesn’t want to get married. .blah blah! Some sad scenes. IBD eventually falls in love with ABCD [Kuch Naa Kaho].

Everything is ready! Shaadi ki tayariya….woah! All good things must come to an end. From nowhere her husband shows up (who abandonded her while she was pregnant). IBD is torn between the lover & Husband (aren’t all women ) hehe!

[Kehti Hai Yeh Hawa]IBD’s son wants ABCD as his dad … IBD lectures about how a man can just disappear with another woman & comeback to ask for forgiveness – but what if a woman does the same – she will be shunned from society. (which is a very good point she made!!)

OooooooooooooK…. Well coming to an end…

ABCD weds IBD – they give Birth to IBCD (Indian Born Confused Desi).

AB BA

Acting by Bollywood Actors

Abhishek Bachchan was good in the role of a ABCD and then a wonderful man…I really liked him in the movie. He was funny, cute, sweet ! I liked his dressing sense in the movie too !

Aishwarya I seem to be realizing that she is not all that…so I just give her acting ok..but the climax scene by her is pretty damn good plus I actually liked the thoughts that it brought out ( how are society is sexist!).

Its actually hard to belive that Aish is a mother of a 7 yr. Old.

Satish Shah he is back after a long time…I like him …he is funny!

Arbaaz Khan Oh yeah! He is the husband! He is ok…this is like more like Darar part 2. acting.

<Others> Like the sister of Abby…I like her..she is from serial then she was in Chalte Chalte and now this …and other people are good tooo.

M B S E L

Music By Shankar Ehsaan Loy

Like I said in my music review before … music is hummable pretty good. Need to give it time to get to tune in. My favorites are Kuch na Kaho, Tumhe Aaj Mainei, Kehti Hai Yeh Hawa, & Baat Meri Suniyo Zara.

I think u should buy the cd … its good.

Thoughts from an ABCD

(American Brought-up Cool Desi) {i.e – Me!}

..:: Aishwarya Brings Abby’s cousin’s wedding dress from U.s – Being from U.s – All the Indians I know go to India and buy their wedding dresses from there. Why in the world would u come to U.s and buy Indian wedding dress!

..:: I still don’t get the ABBG song! It’s a hummable song but just can’t understand it!

..:: Good Attempt by Rohan Sippy to make a clichéd topic into a pretty good movie.

..:: Aish’s motherly love seems to be inpired by an American Mother ( I scream U scream – jeez…Indian Directors…get ur own phrases!)

..:: Jaspal Bhatti is wasted.

Overall, I think you must watch the movie…After a long time there is a family entertainer…no naked chicks, no bed action, no ugly gayish looking costumes, no “item songs”, no sexual favors….. so u can see I def. Liked the movie!

Movie is a funny and nice romantic movie.

That’s it from me!

Watch it…!
