I went Kufri on previous Christmas with friends. you can take taxi from Shimla which you can get for 1500 rupees. it will take you to Kufri and stop at many interesting sight scenes on its way and it from Kufri it will drop you at mall road. it will take you to Kufri only uptil a certain point. from there you have to Trek on foot. beside the point the taxi drops you there is a fenced place with a lot of clear snow, not like the ones we see on roadsides which looks muddy. you can enjoy there itself without having the need to Trek upwards in horseshit. and that Trek is also only uptil a certain point, after that you have to take a donkey ride and there is not much worth seeing uptop, so we just played with snow there and never trekked upwards. i think everybody atleast once must visit kufri.
