Wit, sarcasm and situational humour work hand in hand in this clean entertainer, to give’Kunjiramayanam’ a definite comic flavour that is impressive. What is more noticeable is that this aspect does not flag anywhere in the narrative.
There is a sharpness in the dialogues, with repartee and counters in full flow. The place is’Desam’ and the time somewhere in the present-past. This non-fixity of place and time gives’Kunjiramayanam’ ample scope to weave nostalgia, and other elements in the narrative. There are a lot many characters dotting the story. All of them together gives the movie a witty feel.
