Well, someone had to call their bluff, and I guess it would be me. Who doen’t like Kwality Walls ! It, being an ice cream product owned by food and personal care conglomerate like Unilever. The kind of brand we can trust, right ? Only that they aren’t selling ice-cream. Yes, you heard it right. If you look closely at their products, you would find somewhere written ’frozen dessert’ on it.
Frozen dessert is ’NOT’ ice cream. What’s the difference between the two ? Everything ! For one, ice-cream is made out of milk fats, where as frozen dessert is made out of vegetable fats. Frozen dessert is much cheaper to manufacture than ice-cream, and tastes no where near it. Ice-cream is smooth, frozen dessert isn’t. Even health wise, ice-cream outscores here. Yet we don’t think twice before buying it at a rate costlier than the brands that actually make ice-cream like Amul or Mother Diary. Don’t ! I have nothing against them, but people have the right to know. Next time, go for Amul, for God’s sake.
