Just because you love someone doesn’t mean you have to be involved with them. Love is not a bandage to cover wounds.
Love is a mysterious subject and it drags everybody’s attention. Thousands of definitions are available but still it gets a new definition with each “love story”. We may say each love story is different and it has its own significance. This movie also depicts a different love story and it has its own significance and definition which is different from other stories.
When you love somebody you don’t always look to achieve something. You always feel to make that person happy even at the cost of your own grieves. To love someone is just like having a glimpse of heaven and we don’t care about any other things when we are in love. Our perception changes, our thinking changes and also we change the way we look at our future, our dreams. You might think that it’s madness. Yes, there is always some madness in love. But also there is also always some reason in madness. You will find the same madness in this story.
All love that has not friendship for its base is like a mansion built upon sand. We can’t expect a mansion to last longer if the base is not strong. Friendship acts like a catalog for any relationship. It adds more value to relationship and when it comes to love its significance has always a higher value. Friendship builds a relationship, a base from where you can take that relationship to a higher degree with understanding which is filled with happiness and fun. This movie also has friendship as a base and love as a mansion build upon that.
There’s no way to understand love but to love. You can learn love by loving someone but again you can’t do it purposely it has to come from within. And when it comes from within you can’t control it as well. So ultimately you really don’t have to do anything. It happens as a natural phenomenon and you just go through that. Same applies to this story.
To be brave is to love someone unconditionally, without expecting anything in return. To just give. That takes courage, because we don’t want to fall on our faces or leave ourselves open to hurt. This movie shows the same bravery the same unconditional love. It’s a story about an intelligent brain and a courageous heart. There’s a dialog in this movie which say, “Whenever there’s a fight between your heart and brain, always listen to your heart”. Some people might not agree with this but I completely adore this.
For one human being to love another; that is perhaps the most difficult of all our tasks, the ultimate, the last test and proof, the work for which all other work is but preparation. To climb on Mount Everest is easier than to love another human being. If you don’t agree with this you have not experienced love yet. It is the most difficult and painful task than anything else on this earth. It’s difficult and painful still you willingly do it and that’s the charisma of “love”. The same charisma has been depicted in this movie.
Performance wise this movie is not great and you can’t except some brilliant performances here. Ayesha Takia is looking good and to some extent she has only done a good job. Other actors have given some below average performances and that’s one of the reasons this movie couldn’t do well on box office. Direction is also average though cinematography is good.
I had stopped writing on my favorite subject “love” from last couple of months but when I saw this movie “kya love story hai”, I decided to write a review on this. So I’m back again with my favorite subject. I hope, I have done justice to this love story. Share your views in comment section.
