Kya Yehi Pyaar Hai stars the ’’Mast’’ boy-Aftab and the ’’Kaho naa pyaar hai’’ girl-Amisha Patel also starring in this flick is good old Jackie with other actors.
I could actually stop here...as this movie was very poor, I actually regret watching this movie. Basically this flick is about a boy (Aftab) who is in deeply in ’’love’’ (or that’s what he says in the flick anyways) with this girl (Amisha) for FOUR years! Are you thinking what Iam thinking?
I mean if it was a relationship I could understand it-but a FOUR year crush-the longest crush I know was when one of my friend fancied this ugly guy for two years-but she also fancied other guys too. But in this flick Aftab only fancies her and no body else! Hmmmm...! On top of that, Amisha does not even pay any attention to him no matter what he does and he still fancies her...yes I know you are already tired...so was I!
In between there are bits of Jackie (who plays Aftab’s elder brother) he plays a cool guy with good advice. The only two good plus-points of the movie were Jackie and the music. The music is not really brilliant, neither is it something that I will listening to all the time, but they are not bad. The only song that I actually liked was ’Dil Pe Chane Laga...’ the rest were boring! Also there were too many songs and they were placed in anywhere-honestly. In fact I kept laughing when I saw another song because they where just added in from time to time and it made no sense.
So the story goes on and on, with Aftab keep making attempts to get together with Amisha and she refuses-right till the last ten minutes of the movie where thunder strikes and...yes you have got it...she falls in love with him in less than 24 hours! Arrrrrggggggg! But surprisingly Aftab realises that he does not love her anymore...no, no do not cry-because I wasn’t; in fact I was happy that the movie was over :)!
Honestly speaking, I have never liked Aftab’s acting technique; and if you are asking me why-then my answer is to watch this movie and you will understand by yourself! I was surprised that Amisha was doing this movie-especially
after signing a movie like Gadar. Though her performance was not too bad it was not brilliant either.
Overall this flick was a disappointment, as these types of movies are made from time to time-just like Mujhe Kucch Kehna Hai. Along with thousand of songs and poor acting with the poor storyline itself and average direction; this movie is a bore.
So planning to enjoy yourself and watch a movie...well DO NOT WATCH THIS MOVIE...even if you are given money to watch it...avoid this flick at all attempts!
