My father brought this handset on 18 of march 2005.

Dimension & weight-4911428mm.kyocera KX440 is light wight & slim(just joking) just 122gm.Rugged styling with rubber side grips and keypad.
Display-color display 4096 colors.Screen is bit small even then color
display makes it attrective.
Speaker & Ringtones-I think speaker is better than my LG RD6130.there are 16 polyphonic ringtone which comes with handset and you can download
10 Ringtones.
Stand By Time & Talk Time-Talk time of KX440 is about 2.5Hrs which is
very good. stand by time of the set is about 3+day(when you make or
recieve 2or3 call a day each of 1min).
Battery-Battery is Sumo type you had never seen this type of battery before that is why the weight of set is 122gram.
Internet-TATA is offering 153.6KBPS speed of internet but this service is not available with Prepaid connection
Performance-Now I am going to write my experiance after 5days buying this set.Performance of battery is very good I am getting 2+back up time.
TATA did not launched PTT(Push To Talk Servic yet in UP circle but very soon they will provide this service this service is useful for those who wants to be in touch with each other specially for marketing job.
PTT service is nothing but Just like a walky talkey TATA has launched this service only in Mumbai & Banglore just for testing. You can use PPT service for chatting but the other person should have PPT enabled handset.
Navigating system is something like siemens. Navigation is something typical I have downloaded ringtones & wallpapers from Tata zone.
Total memory is 1.67MB including BREW application.BREW application is something like java or better than java because this supports java application+BREW application but java does not supports BREW application.
Speaker phone is very good but it takes too much power.Three line display for sms.Connectivity of TATA is very good even better than Reliance.
Conclusion-I am satisfied with over all performance of KX440 you can’t Expect better handset at this cost.Battery is verygood the chip which TATA is using saves 50percent of power.
Everything is good I will suggest every one whose budget is under Rs.5000 that he should buy KX440 because when you are getting all this feature at this cost then why should buy expensive set.
There is one drawback of this phone, the charging time of batterry is 3.5Hr. to 4Hr, when battery indicates low.
Overall it’s good.
