Its amazing to see a Director slip so badly. Priyadarshan has made such a complete mess of his two back to back directorial ventures that its impossible to associate him with his earlier comedy’s.
The plot of Kyon Ki is a lift off from the incomparable One Flew over the Cuckoo’s nest. Even if Priyadarshan had kept to the original plot, he could have made a movie instead of this hash. No wonder the medical world is aghast at his depiction of the mental hospital and it’s inamates. A complete over the top mockery of this sensitive subject has been made. One cannot even comment on the performances of the lead characters as they are so disjointed due to the direction and story line. I sincerely hope that Priadarshan either goes back to the drawing board or goes back to the learning institute. If not, he deserved to be committed to the mental asylum created by him in this movie.
