Very Bad Customer Service

This company DOES NOT understand service business, they should stick to Cement and construction.I had purchased a Health insurance top up for my family online on their website. I never received any communication via email/sms or any call back after the purchase.In my disclosure I had mentioned a accident that resulted in Femur bone fracture in 1994( 22 years back).


After the purchase, I only received a call from some medical 3rd party for a medical test. As per L&T rules, I had to bear 50% of the medical test expense. This was strange as it is not a practice with providers, but yet I went ahead with it .


After the medical test, in 1 week time I got a counter offer by email that said that the company will not cover certain illness or anything directly/indirectly related to the right femur bone. This despite the policy wording that all existing illnesses are covered after 36 months. and in my case it was not even a present issue. The counter offer letter said that I had 7 business days to respond and accept/reject the offer. I had a few queries regarding the offer, so I emailed/called the customer service. Each time I was promised a call back that never happened. And to my utter shock on the 4th business days, when I again called, the service executive told me that my proposal was cancelled as I did not accept the counter proposal within the stipulated time period.My refund is still due.I have also demanded that the money I paid for the medical test should be refunded as the proposal was cancelled by L&T without proper justification and within the written commitment of the wait period of 7 business days.


All in all very bad experience with this company. The company may come out with good insurance products, but it lacks the service culture and doesnt know to handle customers. I wish its customer good luck with they try to settle claims with this company. Deserves half star.
