Just tried buying L&T health Insurance from Policy and what a big hassle it turned out to be. I was trying to buy a top up plan. Like an honest buyer I declared an operation in the family, my child, a sports injury; done long time back, cured and closed. And no evidence of such injuries having a recurrence requiring repeat treatment. Oh God, what a chase it became for the policy bazar folks and I.
Their medical team seemed to be completely clueless, never gave any reason for reexamination. It took them them many weeks to figure out an x ray centre. People from their setup will call and then never do a follow up. And finally a proposition, bear the x ray cost of 1200, for a policy of 5500 odd and when I refused, then comes next. Pl bear half the cost. Seriously guys cant you shoot straight! Suggest get out of consumer business, stick with bricks and mortar. They don’t speak and have no point of view.
