I’ve dined at La Pizzeria in Koregaon Park more often than at any other restaurant in Pune. The reason is simple. The food there is consistently good. From their salads to their thin crust pizzas to their pasta it pleases the eye and the palate. The ingredients are fresh and the preparation light. They have a full bar with a selection of wines to go with the food and their espresso after the meal just clinches it!
Their staff is congenial and accomodating. They have a high chair for little kids and when my toddler fell asleep they went out of their way to set-up a comfortable make shift sleeping area for him.
Some interesting notes: The restaurant serves no meats, no seafood. Completely vegetarian! They have a whole wheat option for the pasta. Be prepared for a 20 minute wait if you want it.They source their "exotic" vegetables locally - whether it is artichoke, asparagus, broccoli or zucchini.Their prices are a little on the high side - but worth it methinks!
