I along with my wife visited Ladakh last year and decided to hire the services of Ladakh India tourism run by Partha De Sarkar. We thought since he is an ex-serviceman he would be an honorable and knowledgeable man and would be running a competent setup.
While coming from Nubra our driver was driving very rashly and at least on couple of occasions came close to crashing Scorpio. Our repeated attempts to get him to slow down had no effect as he wanted to reach Leh as fast as possible.
next day we decided to complain to Partha hoping he would rebuke the driver and give us anther one for pangng trip. however he started speaking very arrogantly saying you civilians are scared of everything and shouldn’t have visited Ladakh. Seeing him abuse me like this, my wife told him to mind his manners and speak to us in nice manner since we are his customer but this man started shouting on my wife as well and she was almost in tears!
We decided to cancel our trip to Pangng and Partha De Sarkar to give us our money back but told us to get the hell out of Ladakh or he will get us arrested since he knows Leh personally and has contacts in air force army and raw.
Disgusted, cheated and humiliated, we decided to cut our trip short and took the first flight out next day. Partha De Sarkar is an awful man and the his staff at Ladakh India tourism are just goons, go with them only if you want to be insulted and cheated out of your money!
