This is the time when people plan to visit ladakh, I visited ladakh in august 2015 by road, although it is accessible by air also but 90 percent of tourist visit ladakh by road all because its adventurous and the entire way of ladakh is full of amazing sights, it takes 3 to 4 days to reach ladakh from manali, roads are maintained by boarder security force so there is no issue of road blockage,
The prominent local sights are Khardungla pass which is the highest motorable road in the world people invade Khardungla by cycles, motor cycles and cars to make life time records of their own.
Pangong tso lake is the famous lake which attracts not only normal visitors but also professionals from film industry to shoot movies, this lake is surrounded by golden colored mountains and has crystal clear water which make it a magnificent sight to be visited.
Nubra valley is the experience of cold desert the origln of cold desert is supposed to be from Tethis Sea which existed before the risen of Himalya.
Leh royal palace is an instance of ancient architecture and its must watch, the building is under the Archeological Survey of India and offers a panoramic view of the Stok Kangri and Zanskar ranges across the Indus Valley.
and many buddhist monasteries are the sights to be visited.
There are plenty of hotels in ladakh for everyone according to their budget, from safety point of view ladakh is a safe place to visit, the locals are really helpful and friendly, there is no any kind of threat to the visitors.
