Well Done Aamir Khan

Who would have thought that an epic mastered by Aamir Khan such as this one could glue so many viewers to it. A movie colorfully confronting the ruthlessness of colonial superiors with impoverished farmers of the typical indian countryside. The directors have really done a fascinating job on teaching the audience about the dark side of british east indian imperialism. Embellishing the movie with mixtures of drama and comedy has made it easy for audiences to digest the brutality of British conquerors. The existence of a village named Champaner was at stake and could have been eliminated by the british victory in a simple cricket match. A good move by Aamir Khan to use a mere peaceful sport instead of bloodshed to prove a point. Another good aspect in this movie is that in spite of religious violence that has ocurred in that time Muslims and Hindus fight united against one oppressor. The untouchable named Kachra gains heroic characteristics and becomes an essential part in the liberation of champaner. A well proven point by Aamir Khan that intolerant ideas such as the caste system never had good, humane intentions.
