A.R rahman once again continue to amuse us with his sintilating style.This shows the versatality in the music director.The music of lagaan is folk based and is something new that rahman has tried.The singers are at their best and is a sheer joy for the ears.In a movie with the perfectionist one would expect and will get the best.The lyrics of javed akhtar makes the album memorable.It would surely help to suit the situation in the film.

This is superb composition.The voice of Vasundhara Das amazes me.Her accent, tone and depth is wonderful showing her to be a better singer than actress.But she is relatively new to bollywood but one doesn’t know she has won an award for the best singer down south last year.I heard that rahman had to put some effort in trying to incorporate the english bit.The other singers include Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik.
