Not to be missed

Hats off to A.R.Rehman for coming up with a brilliant score in lagaan .A.R.Rehman is back in buisness and how.You cant write this man off for long, he is to good to be true.lagaan is a period film set up in the times of the britishers.and to give music in such a film is certainlly a tough job, though rehman had earlier given music in films like 1947earth and zubeida but this one is trully outstanding and very different from the run of the mill kind of music.the album of lagaan has eight tracks out of which two are music pieces. The album opens with ghanan ghanan which according to me is the best track. It is a rain song , in which the villagers are dancing and rejoicing the onset of rain.It is very mellodious to the ears with wonderful poetry by javed akhtar, and what is most pleasing is that it is very differant from what we listen to nowdays(the same love songs which are so boring to say the least).mitwa and chala chalo are very ispiring and energetic songs where as radha kaise na jale is a very classical song which has been beautifully sung by the legendry asha bhosle and udit narayan.o paalanhara is a devotinal song and it touches the soul of the heart.no one could have sung the song better than lata mangeshkar.o re chori is an intersting blend of western and indian music, with vasundhra das adding to the beauty of the song.the two music pieces are fabulous.this album has so much variety and class that you are bound to like it.one of the most complete albums I have heard.and going by the promos this is one film I cant wait to watchs.so go for this album if you have not bought it yet, b’coz you are missing something.
