To be truthful, I didnt imagine it wd be such a good movie, I just went casually keeping in mind that it wd be an average but e bidu... ye to ek dum jhakas thi re....... Bole to coming of Gandhian Era. Our country really needs something revolutionary, for the coming generation. I remembered Rang de Basanti while watching this movie. A must see for the new generation. May be one day something, or someone changes infrastructure of our country.
The story, to begin with, is an absolutely different from the 1st part, no continuation.
Sanjay, a tapori gunda or bhai is in love with the voice of popular Radio Jockey Jhanvi (Vidya Balan). He wants to marry her. He introduces himself to Jhanvi as a history proffessor and fan of Gandhiji. This puts him in trouble as Jhanvi invites him to give some lecture to old persons in her home. He reads about Ghandhiji for three-four days without eating or sleeping and is deeply involved into it and sees Gandhiji every time he feels he is in trouble . Jhanvi is impressed by his simplicity. He joins radio as RJ with Jhanvi and started solving problems among different people through Gandhigiri, Gandhiji every time with him and he became a national hero.
LRMB belongs to Arshad. He brings back circuit and all his antics and adds so much life to the character that we can’t imagine anyone else in that role. His timing is absolutely perfect and his expressions, body language and the manner in which he emotes his lines will have you laughing till it almost hurts.
Sanju proves hismself again . The actor is extremely likeable in light moments, as also in sequences when his heart beats for Vidya.
Vidya was good again. Keep it up. Booman Irani was just okay. Did much better in part 1.
Music was okay. Cinematographyis first class.
On the whole, a must see movie for all.
