The district of Lahaul-Spiti is located in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh consists of the two formerly separate districts of Lahaul and Spiti. All area of district covers with snow in year.It is also known as the" snow dessert of Himachal Pradesh".
I currently lives in Chamba and my home is Pangi. In last year I visit few places of Lahaul valley when I go Pangi through the way Rohtang pass in summer month. That time many visitors were also came at Rohtang . They are celebrates skating on snow and enjoy their vocation. What a lovely place area Rohtang with all area covered by snow. And also this district is connected to Manali through the Rohtang Pass.
The Sri Trilikonath ji Temple is in village of same name 6 km of the left bank of the Chenab River, and about 9 km from the village of Udaipur. Here is the Pilgrims at Trilokinath.Buddhist prayer wheel at Tilokinath.Shrine for Shivas lingam and bull Nandi in courtyard.
The natural scenery and Buddhist monasteries, such as Kye, Dhankar, Shashur, Guru Ghantal, Khungri Monastery in Pin Valley, Tnagyud Gompa of the Sakya Sect in Komic, Sherkhang Gompa in Lahlung and Chandra taal Lake are the main tourist attractions of the region.
One of the most interesting places is the Tabo Monastery, located 45 km from Kaza, the capital of the Spiti region. It houses a collection of Buddhist scriptures, Buddhist statues and Thangkas. The ancient gompa is finished with mud plaster,
It is a typical mountain desert area with an average annual rainfall which is very small that why it is visited only in summer months.
I am recommend Lahaul and Spiti valley to visit
Thanks
