When I looked into the lake, small happy fishes greeted me, when I looked around
the lake, I felt as if I am overlooking ghats of Haridwar, I stood up in the speed boat to
look ahead and felt like James Bond. Lake Palace Udaipur will take you to the days of
James bond’s octupussy thriller. When we reached at the hotel, they greeted us like they used to welcome the royals, flower petals falling over our head, royal guard with royal umbrella and then royal drinks. You sit down and look around, soothing water makes you comfortable immediately.
The hotel is itself an art and architectural masterpiece, every part of it is worth its penny and there are some history associated. Lake Palace Udaipur is one of it kind. Royal hotel which gives royal living experience. Food that was served to us was good, rooms were decorated keeping pure Rajastani tastes, staff was cordial, helpful and be prepared to meet more western guests then Indian. At evening, dont miss the folk dance and snacks and calm cool breeze at the lake side. We enjoyed the Rajasthani dance performance on a thali and glass with pots balanced on the head of a damsel.Almost all of the Udaipur city is easily accessible from here and one may spend the entire vacation lazying in the hotel itself. I enjoyed the views from the Mewar terrace in the evenings.My stay here was very memorable and I enjoyed my shopping spree in the nearby markets too.The City palace is just opposite the Lake and I appreciate every boat ride they offered me every time I felt like going to the shores.
