As good as it gets..

I read all the reviews posted about Lakme Souffle. I’ll say it is a nice product seeing all the ratings.

I have been using this product almost one and half year now and I must say I am an extremely satisfied customer. Although I usually stick to Revlon for my other makeup stuff. But I always pick up my base as Lakme Souffle. I’ll tell you the reasons.

I have tried a lot many foundations. But getting a fabolous flawless result is time-consuming, and complex. I have hundred things to do in the morning, so pondering infront of the mirror isnt quite possible for me. Plus if I want to use a foundation, i’ll have to touch it up with some blusher and lipstick coz foundations make my skin surface look very flat.

Everyone who has used foundations will agree that picking up the right shade for your skin is next to torture. U pick up a perfect shade in the shop, but when u come home and apply, it is completely unflattering on ur skin. Then these lovely hot weathers in India. And it all comes dripping down (It happened once or twice when I was a novice in applying makeup.. he he). Not to forget the very messy ways of foundations. Sigh!

I picked up my first bottle when I had to attend a marriage in summer and I had seen the ads saying that it has a water base. I thought of giving it a try and voila! I was impressed with the first try. It didnt run even when I was running around in my lehenga. It is light on the skin. and perfect to apply with wedges and even fingers too. I just give myself 5 minutes for makeup in the morning (souffle, compact, kajal and liner only :) ) and the souffle fits the bill for its non-fussy ways. It is very easy to apply and smears well on the face without forming patches. U dont have to dance your fingers around your face, rubbing here and there (centre to side, forehead to hairline, blah blah blah) as with foundations. And I guess it has been made, kept in mind the Indian skin coz it has a sheer olive base to it, so that it blends with indian skin tone perfectly. I personally feel that it also acts as a sunscreen for my skin. And a covering from pollution.

I have a tip to add here. If u find it difficult to smear the souffle on ur face as it is, u can add a little rose water to it or any other lotion which u use on a regular basis.

I feel Indian complexions are one of the best (it has a brownish/golden glow to it and I am Indian myself). So you dont have to try very hard to look glamorous. Just add some complimenting eyeliner and gloss with ur souffle and u look as good as a diva. :)
