Face magic

Before imported makeup was freely available in India, I had to rely on people returning from abroad to get me foundation from Maybelline and Estée Lauder. I would use the stuff sparingly because I didn?t want to ever run out of stock. My skin has reacted to most Lakmé products and I was really scared to try any local brands? face makeup.

Last year, I saw the ad for Lakmé Face Magic ? Daily Wear Soufflé on TV. A friend (who also has sensitive skin) got married around the same time and was looking for something to use for her wedding and her reception. Someone suggested this to her and she bought a jar. She used it, liked it, and recommended it to me.

I tried it on then and have used it regularly since. It is a light, water based alternative to foundation. It has sunscreen, cucumber extracts and vitamin E. My skin has not reacted to it in the last one year of use. It does not cake and blends easily with the skin.

One needs to use very little of it and hence, it is extremely economical. It gives a natural look as opposed to a ?made up? look and is truly all day wear.

It comes in three shades: Natural Pearl, Natural Shell and Natural Marble. The best thing about this soufflé is that it gives skin an even tone and conceals flaws.
