Coming from a conservative family, the word “MAKE-UP” was indeed a Taboo. Apart from lipstick and kaajal, I was completely unaware of what goes into a woman’s make-up kit. Since childhood, it was mandatory to wash face , pat dry , apply talcum powder and then put bindi. That’s it !!! U are made-up! It was really simple and straight.
Then came college and with our group of friends, I was exposed to the nitty-gritties of make-up and also make-up remover. This was really funny as I had not heard of this term before.
Usually, I use a base cream, then foundation and moisturizing powder. For the eyes, it has to be eye liner and mascara. Eye shadows, glitter are used only for parties. The finale is of course a lipliner and lipstick . Once make up is done correctly, it will stick on for few hours.
But the mostgruesome thing is to remove the makeup. Splashing water on the face will certainly not erase the grime on the face. Once I tried and certainly I resembled very much like a MONSTER with all the black eyeliner spread all over. Its indeed very sticky and messy too.
On my friends recommendation, I have been using this Lakme Brand .
Lakme’s Deep Pore Cleansing Milk is extremely effective in removing dirt and make-up. It’s a nourishing cleanser, formulated with Vitamin E and Silicones .The Silicones free your skin with invisible dirt particles and make-up & Vitamin E gently nourishes the skin without drying it.
The key ingredients are Paraffin Liquid, Dimethicone, Vitamin E Acetate. A 60ml bottle costs Rs 35.
Though one may not use any face makeup at all , still its necessary to cleanse the skin as the dirt gets accumulated on the pores. Skin being sensitive, needs to be tackled well or else u may end up with a bout of acne, rashes, scars etc. Inspite of a hard day’s work, it will be wonderful if we follow this routine so as to allow the skin to breathe and regenerate during night.
Steps to use it:
1.Pull your hair from ur face and tie it with a clip/band.
- Never cleanse the face wholly or else it will be smudgy. First cleanse the eye area.
3.With a damp cotton wool, remove all the make-up by gently wiping each eye area till all are dissolved.
Then with circular movements, remove the makeup from the face using another moistened cotton wool.
Check again to ensure no make-up residue is left.
6.Repeat the same with neck region too.
7.Rinse with water, if required.
8.Pat ur face dry with a towel.
At the end, u will be rewarded with clean, smooth and radiant complexion with the LAKME touch!!!!
