Farhan Akhtars second movie, just like his earlier movie is all about a confused young man but unlike DCH there is not much scope of humour and so Lakshya comes out as a serious movie.
The main protagonist is Hrithik who is a confused young man and has no direction and aim in life. Life changes when his lady love PREITY instigates him in taking a decision and his life undergoes a sea change when he finds that army is his aim, his lakshya. And even in adverse situation he excels and never flinches in his duty.
One can very well judge the theme of the movie from two songs..the first being....Main aisa kyon hoon and the other being Yahi lakshya hai mera
The film scores on the account that where Hrithik stands as a confused young man is where all of us have stood at some point of time or other..there are times when we hesitate in taking a decision and let life drift idly.
Hrithik Preity and Amitabh are all marvellous actors and carry the film proudly on their shoulders. The action sequence is worth watching. Where lakshya scores over LOC is that it has taken a microscopic view of the Kargil war and has treated that aspect very immaculately. The pace of the film is a bit slow but the songs are refreshing and worth feet tapping.
As compared to DCH Lakshya is left far behind but yet it is a movie worth watching..At least do it for the sake of HrithikS fine acting.
