Yeah!!
After all those things I told myself about not watching emotional dramas, I caved in!
I went to watch this movie two nights ago. Well I think I was wrong, at least to some extent.
The movie is made in true Farhan Akhtar style, this man is a great moviemaker.
The movie has shades of real life conversation among friends making career choices, parents fed up with their children, etc..
The patriotic factor does strike a chord wiht the audience.
What is appreciated the most is that there is no ’’Drama’’, its not ppl crying at every opportunity they are given, they are not cribbing... its very easy viewing... also the timelines have been handled well..
Hrithik Roshan.. truly exceptional as an actor, the man is brilliant with his role as an irritating college brat as well as a well groomed officer.
The songs too are well handled and choreographed..
Ok now for what was wrong... the movie is worth only one watch.. preity... good gawd!! why do they use her in the movies that have no place for her, , ... and then add lines to her role only to give her footage???
Her role is absolutely painful and not needed..
Also the script is very ambigious at times... not telling you exactly why things are happening onn the screen...
The cast otherwise is splendid.. right from Om Puri to Amitabh Bachan to Boman Irani .. they all are given their fare share..
The story on the whole is fine.. not among the best written but the simply for the way the movie is treated one shoukd watch it!
