How high the hype bubble can go?

Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja, Fizaa, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum, Koi Mil Gaya, Kal Ho Naa Ho

Lets add an entrante novice here .... Lakshya the word is Lakshya

Lakshya is one of the rare movies, whose hype started almost a full year before its release. It was almost tracked with Post Dil Chahta Hai moves of Farhan Akhtar who quite literally shocked the Hindi cinema with a new language, opening doors for nuances and wit, screenplay and unconvention. So what if it only clicked in urban centers, it was a landmark movie. It was tracked by post Koi Mil Gaya moves of Hrithik who once again gambles on this one movie.

Will he finally deliver beyond his home production (Karan Johar wanted to adopt him, so that should ideally qualify as his home production too). It was tracked down to Javed Akhtar writing a script after perhaps Mr. India in 1987. It was tracked down to Amitabh Bachan agreeing to do the role without listening to the script even. Remember the last scene of Baghban which did the trick, Javed Akhtar wrote it. It can be tracked down to Preity Zinta, the only actress who provides her routine heroines characters with rare professionalism and dignity. And we have not come to the music and promos as yet. Lakshya has a chance of doing a Lagaan, anything less wont be acceptable. Javed saab’s script should ensure a very good and well rounded appeal of the movie and Akhtar led technicians should see the nuances. The only thing that can go wrong is if their belief in a product was misplaced. For fans and Hindi cinema and Preity Zinta (:p) I hope that it is not true.

~~~To Hell With The World The Word is Carefree~~~
Hamara generation aisa kyun hai, although they know what everyone else is doing, they have no clear targets for themselves. Sonia Gandhi, err who was she, the girl who is playing a role in latest Sunny Deol flick? To say, that the song Main Aisa Kyun Hun has been worded differently is an understatement. That it has philosophical as well as filmi relevance is also true. What is also true is a true amalgamation of various tunes inspired from foreign classical and filmi soundtracks along with an awesome choreography. Not since Woh Ladki Hai Kahan, something so innovative has come. Cant wait to catch the song on the screen and till then it is audio replay again and again. Whats it that I want to do in life, why is everyone after me, I only just graduated, to hell with the world and its stress.
~~~Thats My Girl The Word is Courting~~~

What does it take to date the most eligible girl in the college route? Lots of sehna of nakhra and hit dating spots of Delhi. Agar Main Kahoon is almost the sequel to Jaane Kyun and the results are superlative. The lyrics and the word play is almost a stroke of real genius. Also, lyrics have been written keeping in mind the lead players mannerisms, a good feat. I love the country feel to it and the instruments used give it a fresh appeal and the picturization has just added the bonus. So what is she studies in St. Stephens and is averaging 90 percent. What if she doubles up as part time news agency copy writer? I am no less and with charm and wooing, will I win her? You bet in this dilli fashion year.

~~~I Love You So Much It Hurts The Word is Lakshya~~~
So, all it takes to get me into my senses is the rejection by the girl I love? No problems, I will teach her a lesson, I too can be good. Lakshya ko har haal mein paana hai, is a decent track, not really fond of it, although the lyrics are really inspiring and can be used as a motivational tool. I dont think it has been composed as well as it should have been although the high pitched singing makes up some part for it. So I am at IMA, I cleared the entrance and now I will clear the training module too. Just wait and watch world, here I come.
~~~My New Life, My First Assignment The Word is Rejuvenate~~~

So, here I am. At the world’s almost highest fighting peak. What’s the big fuss about Kashmir anyways. Its only Pakistan we are fighting not Martians. Kandho se milte hain kandhe is the best camaraderie song to come out of Bollywood in recent times, it actually talks of battle where youth look to go ahead and defend, not cry and emote like they were competing for SRK award for best emotions. The song is highly inspiring and makes me go oh so patriotic. The perfect advertisement for the Indian Army. Listen it, its the best so far in 2004. So, life continues to go smooth. IMA is behind me, enemy hardly has a chance, seniors can go take a walk, thats the way we are going to fight. Thank you God for these buddies

~~~What is Your’s Always Comes Back The Word is Rekindle~~~
Just when I had nothing but memories, life plays a prank. Kitni Baatein is the second best track in the album. Soulful, situational but really emotional without being mushy, the lyrics rock and the slow Rehmanish music along with Sadhna Sargam’s singing make up for it. A reprise version is also provided, which is only shorter but the same in feel. I love the song and play it in nights again and again. Cant wait to watch this one on screen too. So, here is my life, back a full circle. Ek chehra jo mujhe aksar yaad aata tha, ab mere paas hai, zindagi itni haseen hai.
~~~The First Conquest I have The Word is Stimuli~~~

So, Tiger Hill we have, what else is there now, we will get that one too. Victory Instrumental this is the instrumental track which probably plays as Hrithik sees the dead bodies but desire to move on. The orchestra use is probably the one which makes it of highest international standing, James Homer would be proud here. Never mind, we have job to do and if no one intends joining me, I would do it myself. Take care, my love, Kal Ho Naa Ho (:p)

~~~The Journey has Ended The Word is Martyr~~~
As I see my love who fought so bravely, being laid to the fire, cant decide, whether to feel proud, sad or numb. Separation Instrumental is a situational emotional encore and follows kitni baatein track faithfully and brings out tears from your eyes, if ever you can remember separation from your loved ones. That was a story of a carefree young Indian who did not know how to live Life and now has taught everyone how it should be lived.
This is the best album of 2004 without a doubt, each and every song not only is good to listen to, is well composed, has awesome lyrics, well picturized. different in instrumentation but also fits closely with mood of the movie. An album which should easily get 10/10.
