I have been a dedicated follower of Top French cosmetic House Lancome for a few years now.
I normally have purchased (when I can afford it) lipsticks, blusher or mascara.
So for a change I purchased Lancomes New, improved eye make-up remover. Bifacil.
The bottle is attractive, and adorned with the easily recognisable golden rose logo. The remover itself looks un-usual as it is two-toned, with a oil layer sitting upon the water layer.
Is it difficult to apply having two layers ? :O I hear you cry.
Application is very easy. You do not have to vigorously shake the product to mix the two layers.
You just pour a small amount on to clean cotton wool.
Then with your eye shut just gently stroke up and down, moving to the eyebrows to remove any brow pencil make-up you may have there.
Eye makeup removal from the lower lashes and lids should be performed by gently stroking movements from the outer corner of the open eye inwards towards the nose
This method stops dragging of the skin and prevents premature damage to the skin. Although the product contains oils, it is not at all greasy. It has a pleasant mild fragrance, and a light non~oily texture.
For a 125ml bottle the price is around £15.00, which is pretty steep, but however saying that the bottle does seem to lasting along while in comparision to cheaper brands I have used. I think this product would suit most skin types, it is especially recommended for contact lense wearers.
If you have sensitive eyes or the skin around your eyes is prone to sensitivity it may be worth trying to obtain a small 5ml sample which are sometimes available from Lancome cosmetic counters in stores. This way you can test out the product without spending a fortune, only to discover you have an allergic reation.
I do not know all the ingredients specifically but the remover does seem very gentle and not at all harsh to the skin. I would recommend Bi-facil by Lancome its long lasting, gentle on the skin a luxary French product.
Pros : Very good quality, latest skin technology
Cons: expensive!. Not always readily available at stores or pharmacys.
