Fresh Buttery Taste

My family is picky about certain things, and butter (or margarine) seems to be one of them. I have been in a constant search to find something that everyone likes, rather than having to buy two different products, or listen to the groaning. Weeks ago I tried this product, on my never-ending search, and it seems the search has ended. Everyone in my household agrees that this is the best tasting spread we’ve tried.

It is easy to spread on bread vs. most butters, and TASTES like butter.

Company Information

Land O Lakes is headquartered in Minnesota, USA, and has been in business since 1921. It is owned by local co-ops and individuals as well, and markets over 300 dairy products in the US and around the world. They are the number one marketer of dairy products, according to their web site.

The company web site is https://landolakesinc.com.

Their butter product packages are attractive, a pretty yellow with a Native American girl holding butter on the package. They have many products to choose from. The one I have written about here just happens to be my favorite.

Nutritional Information

A 1 tbsp serving has 8 grams of fat, but only 1.5 grams of saturated fat. It equals out to about 25% less fat than butter or margarine. Margarine has about 11 grams of fat with 3 grams of saturated fat, and butter is about 11 grams of fat with 30 mg of cholesterol and 8 grams of saturated fat. It has no cholesterol, about 80 calories, 75 mg of sodium, no carbs or protein. 10% Vitamin A.

Value

The price is about $2.00 (US dollars) for a 1 LB (453g) tub. Some margarine spreads come in bigger tubs, but I prefer this smaller size because it guarantees me that its going to be fresh every time I use it. Their butter and spreads also come in sticks, the box holding 4 sticks. I prefer the ease of the tub for every day use, but do use the sticks for baking and cooking.

I hope this added information helps!
